Grease Trap Pump Driver - Plumbing Apprentice
Join EPS as a CDL Tanker Driver in DFW for steady local work, hands-on field service, and the chance to build commercial plumbing skills with a growing team.
Environmental Plumbing Solutions (EPS) is hiring a dependable CDL driver to support grease trap pumping and liquid waste transport throughout DFW. This hybrid role combines commercial driving and field service with the opportunity to learn commercial plumbing and grow into a broader plumbing support role. Prior grease trap experience is not required. We are looking for an experienced CDL driver who is comfortable operating a tractor-trailer and manual transmission vehicle and is interested in learning the plumbing trade.
What You’ll Do
• Operate a tractor-trailer grease trap pumping vehicle safely and professionally.
• Pump and service grease traps for restaurant and commercial customers.
• Transport liquid waste in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements.
• Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and report equipment issues.
• Operate hoses, pumps, tanks, and related grease-management equipment.
• Maintain accurate service/transport documentation and keep equipment job-ready.
• Assist EPS plumbing technicians when pumping work is light and learn commercial plumbing skills.
What We’re Looking For
• Valid CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience.
• Ability to operate a standard/manual transmission commercial vehicle.
• Comfortable operating a tractor-trailer around pumps, hoses, tanks, and liquid waste.
• Safe driving history and ability to meet company/DOT requirements.
• Dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working independently at customer locations.
• Physically able to perform field-service work in outdoor/commercial environments.
• Interest in learning plumbing and developing additional trade skills.
Preferred Background A plus, but not required: grease trap/liquid waste pumping, septic or vacuum-truck operations, drain/sewer service, hydro-excavation, restaurant service, or commercial plumbing/apprenticeship experience.
Why This Role This is more than a driving position.
EPS is looking for someone who wants steady local work and the opportunity to build additional trade skills. When pumping work is lighter, this employee may work alongside experienced plumbing technicians and gain hands-on exposure to commercial plumbing service.
